It is with great pleasure and excitement that I present to you one of my favorite games of all time: Pix’n Love Rush for iPhone and Pix’n Love Rush DX for iPad, respectively $0,99 and $1,99
You play a little dog/monster that jumps from platform to platform, kill bats and collects coins. So far nothing ground breaking but here comes the twist. You play through very small levels (roughly one minute each) with barely a couple seconds in between to take your breath before the next. Levels can move in any directions or not at all. There are over 125 different levels and the game will through them at you in different directions to through you off. As you progress the speed increase making it harder and harder not to make mistakes. And the best part: these levels come at you at random so you never play the same game and never know what to expect next!
Scattered around the levels you’ll find 2 different kinds of objects: Coins and Blocks. You will also find 2 kind of creatures: Bats and Angels. As you collect coins you progressively fill up a combo meter. You start the game in full color. Once you collected 20 coins the visual theme of the game will change to only 3 colors. Then once you reach 50 coins without making any mistake the theme will become monochrome. And finally at 100 coins streak the theme will turn to a radar style where the screen is refreshed by a sweeping line. I love it!
If you touch any of the boxes or the bats you go down one level of combo. If you were already at the lowest combo level you lose a life. If you finish an entire level without touching any box or bat, collecting all the coins and killing all the bats you get an extra points bonus that can vary from 20 000 to 100 000 depending on the combo level you’re on.
Graphically the game has a gorgeous not just for those retro theme that changes according to the combo but for the pixelized style and the decors in the background.
The iPad version has an extra game mode called cursed rush where the monster runs on it’s own and all you have to do is jump at the right moment. Sounds simple… Think again it is really hard! Another noticeable option is the customizable control placement in the iPad version.
You already know what I’m going to give this one but I’ll tell you anyway BUY THIS GAME trust me buy it right away you’ll thank me later. (I also think that the iPad version is worth the extra dollar for the new mode and the nice UI)
TUMBS UP d (^_^) b
